Last week, the Office of the Lieutenant Governor sent out a press release announcing the official launch of this website on behalf of the Project for Civic Health. Here is a glimpse into the perspectives of each partner on the website and on how they plan to utilize it to promote civic health across the state:
“The Project’s website is one of many steps that we must take to restore health to our democracy. It will help connect people and organizations in the local level who are doing the hard work in their communities, and provide them with tools and resources on how to do that.”
washington Lieutenant Governor Denny Heck
“We’re thrilled to launch the Project for Civic Health website, to keep building on the great ideas and connections generated at the Civic Health Summit. We hope this can be a resource hub for civic health supporters across Washington State.”
Katy terry, Executive Director of the Henry M. Jackson Foundation
“We envision this site to be a hub of information exchange for Washingtonians working intentionally to bolster civic health across the state and in our communities. It will be growing and developing over time, so check back!”
jodi sandfort, Dean of university of Washington Evans School of public policy & Governance
“The William D. Ruckelshaus Center is excited to engage in the Project for Civic Health through this website. This year is our 20th anniversary. As we reflect on our mission to help parties involved in complex policy challenges, we see this project as a natural extension of our work to build a collaborative policy environment in Washington State.”
julia carboni, Director of the William D. Ruckelshaus Center
